Yes, a friend close to the sport just called me and told me about Craig Jones. RIP.

I took a look on a couple of F1 messageboards last night and was depressed at how polarised and biased people are - mostly around Hamilton. It seems that on one side you have fans that can see him doing no wrong, while on the other there are those that feel incapable of giving him any praise whatsoever. The best post I read was from someone who described him as the worst driver currently in F1! Honestly, a single thread, on a SY board of all things, has more level-headed debate than anything I've seen on these so called 'specialist' sites.

I watched the highlights (ha ha) of the race again last night and probably feel that I was a bit harsh on Kimi. He was after all stuck behind Alonso (who I thought had an excellent race overall) for much of the race, on a track that was pretty well impossible to overtake on. I still think he's very below par this season but his performance yesterday wasn't quite as bad as it seemed while watching the race itself.

Would also like to say what a good job I thought Hill did as commentator. He's always struck me as a thoroughly decent bloke, and would love for the BBC to grab him when they take over from ITV next year. Although it's enough to know that I won't have to suffer adverts and that bloody awful 'Lift Me Up' theme tune for another season. Bring back 'The Chain'!

I'm still really impressed with Glock. I'd say the same for Heiki, but considering his car and grid position it was more like he did nothing wrong (besides the start I suppose). I hear that the Hungaroring may not be in next year's calender which, I have to say, I won't be too disappointed about, given the rather lacklustre spectacle of yesterday's race.
