Actually, in at least 2 of the roles I just mentioned, I didn't even realize it was Gary Oldman!

Basquiat. Add to the slippery slope that Schanbel was a self-admitted anal-retentive chef before turning artist and that he's a perfectionist as a director. Also, while in his early thirties, Gary Oldman was able to charm, seduce and marry a 20-year old Uma Thurman. 'Nuff said.
