Is smoking pot stupid? I don't know. I'm an ex-pot smoker. Mostly I had to give it up when I went to work for the guvment. I'm not longer a federal employee, but I choose not to smoke it mostly because of the legal risks. And because I decided I just don't like sucking smoke of any kind down my throat and into my lungs. But yeah, I remember thinking I had great moments of clarity about the music I was listening back in the day. I think though that any really serious fan of music can appreciate music on levels that are equally meaningful or maybe more so than the "stoned" level.

As with any enjoyable human behavior, smoking pot can be psychologically addictive, and I figure between music purchases, drinking microbrews, and trying to keep myself in decent clothes and shoes, I've got enough addictions tapping my limited resources without having to worry about coin for weed.
