I agree about the normal world thing, but that's what nolan was going for. It's not exactly like our world but it's close. 'Heightened realism'

That said, the elfman theme would be silly in a film like this, it was good for back then but the whole superhero cliche theme song (usually elfman does em all) has lost its appeal to me at least. Begins was definitely more influenced by Blade Runner and The Dark Knight by Heat. The subtley of the music works for that in my opinion. It's more personal, especially the nods to the cohen brothers style where the music just fucking cuts out and leaves you in the moment.

It's just two takes on a character that has MANY incarnations.

I thought two face was great...would you rather have tommy lee jones again?
