The thing about the over the top cackling joker that you hate is that it was created in the 60s. Batman started in the 30s or early 40s I believe. And in Jokers first appearance, he was very dark and grimacing and smiled maybe once.

Chris Nolan knocks another one out of the fucking park as far as staying true to the source material. & btw, I never read the comics but after I saw batman begins I fucking wikipediad my ass off about batman lore.

He was always my favorite superhero when I was a kid, because he didnt have powers and was just 'driven by will power'. I guess I forgot that over the years, I didn't even know I 'wanted' another batman movie....
