a tribe called quest is hip hop jazz? i dont know about that, but if you like them, id suggest these:
madlib (and his various projects; madvillian with mf doom, quasimoto, yesterdays new quintet, sound directions, and especially his album shades of blue, which is madl;ib doing hip hop remixes of some of blue note records's back catalog, closest thing to hip hop jazz youll get)
j dilla
early the pharcyde (labcabincalifonia is one of the best hip hop record ever recorded, compares to enter the wu tang and it takes a nation of millions even)
lootpack
slum village
devin the dude
the roots (illadelph halflife, only good record of thiers, and its fantastic)
quasimoto
breakestra (a ten piece funk hip orchestra, kinda neat)
oh no
big L
pharoaeh monch
skillz
mr lif
the perceptionists
party fun action comitee
earyl del the funkee homosapien
early kool keith (dr octagon)
deltron 3030
de la soul
rza's solo work (some is total crap, but its more relatable to a tribe called quest than wu tang or gravediggaz, in my opinion the two greatest hip hop acts of all time)
