Yeah, Asheville's the hippie utopia, pocket of liberalism, spot of sanity, drop of culture, whatever you want to call it, in this otherwise barren state. It's a good place. The mountains are nice, too.

Charleston's sort of like the Key West of SC. It's hedonism all over the place. There are, gasp, beer brewers there! And a Banana Republic in the outlet mall! Woo hoo.
