of course it is my opinion, but it is by a hair in my mind.
spinal tap dealt with the bloated corpose of a dying metal band
tenacious D, the original HBO shows, was about a metal band that never even got started, they play open mic nights on acoustic guitars, but dream of tap'ish metal glory. I find that very funny.
