Grandmaster Flash and Public Enemy have been hired to create original tracks for Atari's new videogame, Driver: Parallel Lines.
Serving as the sequel to Driver, the videogame is set in two different eras - 1978 and the present - and will feature music that represents each time period.
"The right in-game music can transform a gaming experience from great to unforgettable and the tracks we have picked for Driver: Parallel Lines will literally keep players in the cars just to hear what the next tune is" said Atari Europe's marketing director Cyril Voiron.
In addition to new material by PE and Flash, Atari has licensed music by The Roots, David Bowie, WAR, Parliamnet Funkadelic, Marvin Gaye, Average White Band, and more.
