I believe the write-ups came from the real artists (after their songs were assigned to them), and maybe Watt even demanded to at least get to pick another song from Sister besides the single, but overall the whole thing is obviously completely put together.

My thoughts exactly, though maybe the various artists were given a shortlist to pick from.
Oh, and Schizophrenia was never released as a single (nothing from Sister was).
