...i don't know if i'd go that far. sure, by the time he was president he wasn't exactly the sexiest guy in the world.... but in 1939, with his drop dead looks and charisma - i honestly think he could have been a leading man in the pictures.
for example here's jimmy stewart in Mr Smith Goes to Washington.
...now imagine if you will a movie called... oh, i don't know... Mr Kennedy Goes to Washington, starring Jack Kennedy.
...i'd go see that.
