Wow, I haven't found that to be the case at all. Most new LPs are more than new CDs these days, especially 180-gram LPs. It costs more to make an LP, and the retailer's profit margin per new LP is usually much less than with a CD. A retailer usually must pay 10 or 11 bucks for an LP that at the most he can hope to get 18 bucks for.
