Actually, I think there were some screen savers in '88 though not very fancy ones since color monitors were close to non-existent. I doubt Thurston was doing much computing at that point, and while he had worked in a Kinko's type copy shop, it was well before then. I worked at Kinko's in '90 and we had plenty of mac stations with 1st gen macs with screen savers, so you never know.

You definitely deserve credit for the oddest thread title of the year regardless. I was figuring there would be some sort of submarine connection.
