but in some neighborhoods that was indeed the truth circa 1997, before earbud headphones became the "fuck off" accessory of choice.

there was this coffee house in federal hill (baltimore) that was the best meat market EVARR.

they have since changed location i believem they used to be on charles st.

also the starfucks near university of maryland in the XXI century used to be a grad student hangout until a place w/ the cheeseball name of "college perk" (as in college park) took over.
