I managed to find some that are decent and comfy, one pair deep blue, and one pair "pre-stressed". the pre-stressed pair, like all such jeans, lasts about 1/3 the time of reglar jeans because the machines they use to distress them rough the fabric up terribly, instead of like normal wear and tear

Yeah, I don't understand it. The jeans are actually pretty decent, fit and style-wise, and would be fine without the pre-stressing. The weird thing is you can wear these kind of jeans with a decent dress shirt (untucked, of course) to dinner out and people think you're kind of dressed up! I did this last week with some friends of ours, and the younger girl in the bunch asked me if my wife dressed me, because I looked so nice. But if I'd worn my beat up Levi 550s people would have thought I just looked sloppy.
