a failure of healthy selfishness you mean. how the fuck is it "selfish" to kill yourself? sparing yourself because you don't want your death to hurt others is good selfishness-- ultimately you're reacting to your own sorrow, sparing yourself sorrow. but nobody in good health and good spirits wants to kill themselves. death is the enemy-- fuck the enemy, not yourself!
