although normally i would be very keen to read a book about japanese rock, i'm put off by a few factors, the annoyingness of julian cope, apparently cope has a strong dislike for all things haino and has excluded him from thew book, the self-importance that i suspected would be manifest in the prose and that suspicion being confirmed by the observer review, plus, the annoyingness of julian cope.
