he's amazing, he basically invented his own language.

his music often sounds like traditional japanese music going out of tune with all kinds of intricate bells and glasses and other types of odd percussion dancing around the mix..

just.. i dunno.. very very intricate... whereas you'll hear a lot of classical music that features many instruments playing the same thing or playing similiar things, harry partch kinda had tons of people playing completely different things, each instrument venturing off in its own direction, but somehow being held together by some bizarre sequence of microtonal notes.

truely like nothing i've heard before or will probably hear again.

the reason i said syzygys earlier in this thread is because they're a female duo pop group who also make video game music who use harry partch's microtonal organ to make pop music. so, it sounds like.. uh.. traditional japanese pop music.. going out of tune. great!
