Ha, well, let's just say she started out not being a fan. And mostly I listen to music on the phones. But yeah, when it's a mutual listening experience, we hardly ever play the Stones. Maybe Hot Rocks. She seems to be okay with some stuff, like the early-mid 60s garage-y sounding things.
But for whatever reason (love?), she never put up a fuss about my obsession, ever. She was into Fleetwood Mac when we met and soft rock groups like that, but I turned her on to some of the new wave and punk things I was starting to listen to--Costello, Television, Patti Smith, Talking Heads. She'd just never had any friends or boyfriends who were into "good" music.
She never really got into my Stones thing, but... last May I left a tape of Let It Bleed in the car cassette deck, and she was playing it when she picked me up from work one day. I told her she didn't have to listen to that and apologized for leaving it in the car, and she said she'd heard the tape twice now in the car and was really liking it.
