Right on.

Since when are emotions based on choice or achievement? I simply listened to fugazi and it instilled in me an emotion of hopelessness with music. I love music, and I hate what damages my love. That seems perfectly reasonable to me.

But is there any use in prolonging that hate further than the initial "I hate this band" reaction/emotion? If you choose to continue persuing any thought of a band you apparently hate, then to me, that's you wasting your time.

If I don't like a band or artist or whatever, I don't want anything further to do with them. I don't start threads and rant about how much I hate them and therefore giving them anymore thought then I think they deserve.

But then maybe we stroke differently.
