there's this emo band from new jersey trying to get a gig at the social i've been exchanging myspace messages with tonight. they're more that kind of blink 182 sound and i guess they're alright for their genre but eh. i did get a promise to party, at least.

two weeks ago, i went to say a friend's bass instructor's band at some club; the first band was a run of the mill emo happy punk band, the second (dude's band) was this tribal nu metal shit (with percussion and everything) with good charlotte as the lead singer, like he was dressed like the dorker in that band, then the final band was this rap/thrash metal band that behaved like a wedding band, urging people to dance and scream and shit. the music was awful, but i had so much fun making fun of them with my friend, it was worth it.
