See, I grew up with video games rather than musical instruments. So naturally I'm more inclined to play video games. My parents never put any emphasis on music, or learning to play it. So when I started taking guitar lessons, it was a huge leap for me. I don't take them anymore. They didn't really have any effect on me, as far as making me want to play more. I know I probably learned a lot during the 5 years that I was there. You'd hardly be able to tell, though. One thing that bothers me about playing the guitar nowadays is that I'm not certain I'm attracted to the instrument itself, at least not enough to make me want to keep learning and playing it. When I get ideas for songs, or whatever, it's not the guitar that I immediately think of playing them on. And I know I'll probably never get to the point where I would want to play the guitar in front of anyone, no matter how capable I could be on the instrument in the future.

My point is that I would much rather play Yoshi's Island and just listen to the beautiful music on that video game, while trying desperately to reunite baby Mario with his parents.
