Ever see that scene in Parenthood where the little kid throws up all over Steve Martin's lap. I've been there at least half a dozen times. At least nowadays they don't throw up on me. Or at least they haven't in a while--I imagine there's still a chance.
And all that crap you hear about how lonely it is in the "empty nest" is a crock. This empty nest phase is the most tranquility I've had in my life in years.
