Well, perhaps your constant postings of posh parties, musings on designer clothes and such things have contributed to our misconceptions.
I'm not trying to rag on you, but surely you must realize that you have made an impression as something of a materialistic, pampered child of privilege.
Not getting "spending money" but having your basic necessities guaranteed will not really get much sympathy from most people.
Perhaps if you showed a more well-rounded picture of yourself, people would be less likely to have such a "one-dimensional" impression?
