U.N. Enlists Internet Star for Antipoverty Pitch

The United Nations is hoping a lonely girl can help it fight poverty. The U.N. has enlisted the star of hugely popular Web video series LonelyGirl15 and other Web video makers to participate in an ad campaign promoting an antipoverty event it plans Sunday. Jessica Lee Rose, the teenage actress who plays "Bree" in Lonelygirl15 videos posted on video-sharing Web site YouTube, will reprise the role that made her famous, sitting in a bedroom by herself, talking into a camera. But this time, rather than talking about a boy, "Bree" makes a plea for the antipoverty cause.
