yes! and this is why i like fictions that deal with death. human death.

i mean, unlike kryptonite, death is a real fucking problem in life, and impossible to avoid. society these days likes to pretend it isn't there or something. but it's just around the corner waiting.

real death is fucking horrid, and death in art can help us stomach it somewhat.
