thanks for this. been checking it out on/off since you posted. the one that got my attention the most was the chinese artist, 33emybw. lots of chinese drums in some of her other tracks--really different from what one hears normally in this part of the world. her 2019 album is inspired by... arthropods! which reminds me of jean painlevé and ylt's "sounds of science".
