As Thomas Friedman said, Trump's so-called "teflon" is mud. The more you throw mud at him (or, in this case, the more he pours it on himself), the thicker his mud shield gets. For over four years (I'm counting the 2016 campaign), a large portion of the U.S. —even if they're the minority, it's still a LARGE amount of people considering they're batshit bonkers— have been gladly living an ad verecundiam fallacy (*): if Trump says it, it's true/good, no matter if he doubles down on shit that's evidently fucked up, or if he makes a 180º turn and goes, no, I never said that, you're fake news, what I'm saying now is what you should believe.
Months ago I posted on this thread that there was no way he'd politically survive TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DEATHS. And yet here we are, 230,000 deaths later, we don't know who will win tomorrow, but we do know this: the fucker
will win in a bunch of states. Which is fucking DERANGED, because minimal amounts of reason, logic, experience, etc say this douchebag shouldn't get a single goddamn vote. But that's human nature for ya, and why I haven't missed seeing anybody during all these quarantines and lockdowns and shit.
