see, with something like this, it becomes more sciency (is that a word? lol) and you could maybe plug that database into an ai that would dj for you. (i mean this for claire)

i think the thumbs up or down on an app is an easier way to achieve similar result but if you could get into the guts of the thing and figure out your own algorithm then you could be onto something. the way that i think it was pandora used (uses?) the music genome project?

i mean if you could plug your preferences into the genome database you could break down exactly what you like

then you coulpd program an ai to replace you, and it would post for you not just here but in 10,000 boards and social accounts. and you could make music fashionable at will. and people would hire you for it, as a kind of payola. and then the independent musicians would sit in council andnhire a contract killer to take down your ai. and after much actiony stuff she would die in your arms and tell you that she always loved you. and in the next book you’d make a kali ai to bring the end times to the world. and you’d start with the members of the council of independent musicians, and halfway through the 2nd book you realize that all the new music is starting to suck because your ai murdered the talent. at which point you realize you’re now an old person and retire to the mountains to meditate. and the kali ai meanwhile running amok in the world is speeding things up. but there’s a new girl with coding superpowers who is trying to stop it. at this point ratings drop because things are getting shambolic and the network fires the showrunners, but things get even more ridiculous and the show gets cancelled. but since you’ve been all along meditating in the mountains you’re ready to let go of the world and move your consciousness into the internet where you become a networked bodhisattva.

mainstream critics would dismiss the show as “pointless” and “derivative” and mock the cheapness of the special effects, but after becoming a cult tv show in the logo channel there’d be a movie sequel 20 years after, at which point all movies would be holograms piped into the mind, and in the holomovie you’d find the resurrected corpse of your murdered ai, and burn your saffron robes, and with her by your side flee imminent destruction by the kali ai in a spaceship to the unknown, like in the planet of the apes when cornelius and zira escape the final h bomb, and then critics again would say “why did this shitty holofilm have to be made?” and they’d be right, this time, they’d be right.
