They have a real credibility problem and although they did pick up a lot of votes in the EU election, I think a lot of people still see them as quite cynical opportunists with no real core set of beliefs. Right now they feel like a bit of a New Labour tribute act, ten years ago they were the Left wing alternative to New Labour.
