It’s so great. It’s weird though that it opens with “Disorder,” and that “Disorder” is so goddamn good, because that song really isn’t a good example of sound of the album as a whole or Joy Division as a band.
Kinda like... hmm... kinda like Stone Roses’ “I Wanna be Adored.” No other Stone Roses track really has that same anthemic, post-punk thump. But it’s the best track on “Stone Roses” and “Disorder” is the best track on “Unlnown Pleasures.”
But really not indicative of what Joy Division did. Someone looking for more of that might be disappointed by the album and by “Closer.” But whatever, because it’s all fucking great.
