Iit's undeniably Euro-heavy in terms of the teams left but it could be argued this has been an even worse WC for the real European big-hitters - France being probably the only team left with any real international pedigree. Meanwhile if South American football's in trouble, African football seems to have well and truly collapsed. Remember all those hopes we had for Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa. Not even on the radar anymore. Asia too has at best stood still.
