I think it's always important to maintain a level of respect in social and political discourse, partly because people with strong beliefs who feel laughed at or rejected by their peers can be dangerous, but also because I think being a dick is extremely unattractive, and not a look I want to wear. But I honestly don't feel that there was any actual bad blood during the SFAD chat. I've had harsher (if much, much less clever) insults hucked at me by pepper_green in this thread.
