crap production and cheesy acting is what b movies are all about-- and b movies can be great not just in spite but because of that-- because someone with no money went and made some shit they wanted regardless of obstacles

mark kermode (is that really mark kermode?) actually makes a point of that in the link in posted-- so many things are wrong with it etc. and yet-- because of it-- he loves it.

b movies have changed civilization, b movies can be fucking great, and the original wicker man is definitely one of the great b movies out there.
