Honestly, it's hard for me to imagine hip-hop fans who aren't into most of Jay's work.
Like "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" for instance... Huge mainstream hit, right? Probably one of the most famous uses of a high profile sample in history. Definitely one of those hip hop songs that you just couldn't escape.
Not even his biggest hit, but a song that surely everyone here knows well. It's also a brilliant song, with excellent production and mythos-building lyrics.
How does that track not appeal to ... like... everyone?
