Now I will read something a bit lighter in tone but also very interesting,
ON LOOKING: Eleven Walks with Expert Eyes
The book is about what we bring to the act of LOOKING. The author takes the same regular walks around her hood in NYC daily, so she invited 11 different people, with different specialties to take the same walk with her and see what they "SEE" that she doesn't, and why they see it. It looks like a good quick interesting read. The artist sees different things than the doctor, or the teacher, or the geologist, all in the same neighborhood.
