Hereīs some artists who made their masterpieces under the age of 30: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Sonic Youth, Jethro Tull, Wigwam, Metallica, Birthday Party, Lou Reed, Pink Floyd, John Cale, Pretty Things, the Who, Frank Zappa, Yes, King Crimson. Most of the artists that are over 30 are boring, but of course there are exceptions: Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, the Who, Captain Beefheart. Tom Waits & John Parish are great exceptions of that 30 years age rule: they have made their masterpieces after that.
I have always known what I want to the music. Well, in my youth there were few artists I tried to listen just because my friends like them, but soon found them shit.
I think this getting old is same as losing something essential has existed always. At least Goethe was haunted about that. I just can talk about my life & I donīt really want to be young anymore. I believe that brain thing is true, but that doesnīt prevent me to be happy & enjoy music & other things. I donīt believe I will ever get any new music style, but I just donīt need to get it anyway. I think one reason why I donīt like hiphop is just because I donīt listen it at all in youth. Well I remember to like some of the Public Enemyīs, I think Iīll listen it someday. Of course itīs possible I just get bored music totally (I donīt believe it) but I believe I find then some other interesting things into my life.
