- Most Japanese people I have met are short. Some are tall. I have asked a Japanese friend recently if it's true that Japanese men and women dye their hair black because having gray hair is taboo in Japan. He seemed, rightly, offended by this and asked me where I've heard about it. I said to him it was the internet and he smiled.
