There should be a way to set it up w/o the other remotes tho, like in the case of not having one at all. Does it get the code from the opener unit itself? Or just the other remotes? I think you would have to do something more that what was stated in your post, because what would stop someone from standing outside and "searching out your code"? Good security sense would say you need to press something on the actual garage opener (the receiver) , or get it from an already properly programmed remote. Prob look at the first option... since the others are getting "bjorked"
