It's arguably because we had the quickest reform with regards inhibiting the powers of the monarch - stemming from the reformation and civil war. A weaker monarchy, and a strong parliament, tend to mean that we can have a sinecural monarchy without any need for drastic reform. The conditions in, say, France were very different, and obviously America simply didn't exist as a meaningful thing at the time societies were going through the leaders-by-God phase (obviously, there were people in America, their voice and history was just silenced).
