Yes, I think it's an "industry standard" nowadays, quite sadly (even in big budget movies).
In avril's there's lots of sony, Abbey Dawn, etc etc, even more "obvious" than that britney one.
I have no tv (and frankly I don't miss it at all), I'm a bit out of the loop with pop vids and such, so I can't really have a, say, 30 mins session of vids to check how the newest are, in general. Perhaps I should reconnect with the tv world. Could be useful for some purposes...
