Insatiable (7/10)
Perhaps a bit too polished and mainstream for some tastes, I still think it's a shame that Insatiable isn't as well known as some other porn 'classics' from that 70s-early 80s 'golden era'. It's not as subversive as The Devil in Miss Jones or as sensational as Deep Throat but it's about as close as porn may ever get to producing the kind of hardcore-mainstream cinema that Burt Reynolds' character in Boogie Nights dreamed about. And while Linda Lovelace received the headlines for the controversy behind DT, and Georgina Spelvin grabbed the attention of critics for her acting abilities in DiMJ, as a flat out porn actress, Marilyn Chambers owned the pair of them.
And she sings the movie's theme song!
