You were implying - were you not - that transexualism is some sort of lie of consumerism? There's no doubt that society creates consumerist answers to its own failings. But to dismiss the troubled area of gender-identity as a societally-created, capitalist re-inscription of bivalent gender association-through-capital is just... weak. You have a point, but in your clamour for some sort of radical opposition to everything (which pretends to be metaphysically nihilistic, but is in fact mis-placed libidinalism [taking libidinal values to be merely
manifested in sex 'proper]) you just end up looking like a wanker, in several senses (and several senses of senses).
My 'name-dropping' was shorthand for a conflicting panoply of perspectives and 'narratives' relating to gender-identity. It's very common.
