i thought of it because I am christian and it makes me want to vomit. I like songs that refer to god in subtle ways like sonic youth, the rolling stones, pixies, nirvana, and so on. Nearly every band i like has a great song about god or refering to god and you would not expect it from the devil's rock n roll.

I do not believe in using god as a marketing tool for music. It is fucked up to be making profits in gods name. They have an automatic audience built in and thier music is utter garbage.

There is a great Southpark episode about this very thing.
