Thurston Moore+Evan Parker+Walter Prati - The Promise

Did you know about this release? I found this vinyl it in the shop today. It was recorded in Gateway Studios, Surrey, but there's no year on the cover. More info?

Can't wait to hear it somewhere (still don't have a turntable).

It's a great record. Somewhat a more restrained Thurston, which makes the record very interesting to me. The cd version is enhanced and has some fun stuff on it. All three players are sampled and with those samples you can create/improvise your own composition. Need record, you'll like it.

I've just been given it this evening as a Christmas present... gonna go give it a spin...

A good 'un. I think Evan Parker really leads the charge here. Thurston and Walter are slightly more restrained although in actual fact all three are quite restrained leading to a really intricate and compelling piece of music. Annoyingly the av interactive thing don't work on my machine. bogus...
