Best Black Flag Album
Poll Coming!
i have in my head and six pack, so i cant really vote since those are the only albums i have
Damaged is the only one that has me coming back for repeated listens. Maybe I haven't really given the other ones a chance, but there is something about them that just doesn't seem right.
First Four Years is an interesting document but BF didn't really hit their stride until Rollins joined. Damaged is one of my favourite records ever.
My War was a fantastic follow-up. But it was pretty much downhill from there, with In My Head being mediocre fuzzy heavy metal. |
First Four Years is my current favorite, but their best album is Damaged.
i voted for damaged but my current fav is the live album who's got the ten & a 1/2
I forgot to put the live one and Process of Weeding out. Oh well. My favorite Black Flag album is In My Head because it covers alot of different styles that weren't in previous albums. From In My Head to Drinking and Driving to I Can See You. Loose Nut is a very close second for me.
The Process of Weeding Out was good. Who's Got The 10 1/2? I didn't like, but Live' 84 was a great record.
Is Live 84 the same as the live DVD thats out? If so then I didn't like it.
I don't know, I haven't seen any BF DVD's.
Live '84 was originally a cassette only release and quite hard to get hold of at the time, but I thought it was a great recording of a band at their peak. |
i voted 1st 4 years.
Slip It In just over First 4 Years for me.
my top 3 are first four years, damaged, and then live in 84. rollins was good but frankly he doesn't hold a candle to dez. he fuckin' ripped it UP!

wow... that's exactly what i was going to say... stop stealing my thoughts already. |
Apart from the Keith Morris tracks, First Four Years is not good. Tinny kiddy punk.
"let's do it for the kids"
The ads are quite funny though.
ads... like commercials?
where? when? |
Sonic Youth has re-enacted the second half of Family Man on stage before
I like Damaged the most |

First Four Years was originally released as a double LP: three sides music and one side radio ads for their shows. I presume you have the CD and the ads weren't included? |
