There's A Blizzard Coming My Way!

!@#$%! 02.08.2013 09:36 AM

floatingslowly 02.08.2013 09:50 AM

I'm thankful that doesn't happen down here. Stay safe...and warm!

Bytor Peltor 02.08.2013 10:01 AM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to !@#$%! again.

CLASSIC!!!

So Robert, is your work telling you to stay home or go home early? Do you have enough supplies to last the weekend? Do you have another heat source if you lose power?

Keep us updated and post some pics if you can.

Rob Instigator 02.08.2013 10:14 AM

do like we do on the Third Coast when a Hurricane is bearing on us

HUNKER DOWN!

floatingslowly 02.08.2013 10:48 AM

C'mon, Texas, you know you're gloating. I know you're gloating.

^^^stay warm noise!

Watching The Weather Channel......greater Boston has banned all traffic after 4pm I believe.

Dr Chocolate 02.08.2013 05:20 PM

it's been snowing almost 12 hours up here near Trenton Ontario
the driveway has been sholved 5 times already
and the snow plows have yet to do the street
not that we are stuck, but it's good to have the 4x4 option
this is the most snow i've ever seen fall in 1 day in decades

Robert Schunk 02.08.2013 05:22 PM

floatingslowly: Thanks for the well-wishes.
Bytor Peltor: I'm retired due to disability. And I have gas heat which loss of power shouldn't affect. Besides, my neighborhood is sufficiently upscale that should we lose power, there's enough power living here to expedite the power restoration.
RobInstigator: I am hunkered gown! Thanks anyways.
noisereductions: Stay safe!

I'm an hour South of Boston. I left work at 11AM though. Fuck that. Not a bad drive... It's coming down serious now though. Listening to Korn, drinking beer, playing Shining Wisdom on Saturn, staying warm. :)

Rob Instigator 02.08.2013 05:26 PM

Man, if I ever saw it snow for 12 hours I would freak! Being born on a tropical island does nothing for your cold-survivability.

Rob Instigator 02.08.2013 05:27 PM

when the snow stops, and it gets quite, blast HOARFROST at top volume.

noisereductions 02.08.2013 05:29 PM

already shoveled once. Ther'es gonna be a lot more of that.

You live an hour south of Boston? Holy smoke! I live in Providence!

noisereductions 02.08.2013 07:10 PM

^oh no shit dude? Nice. We're pretty close then. :) I'm between Providence and the Cape.

just lost power for a minute. It's back on now.

noisereductions 02.08.2013 07:28 PM

yeah this is non-romantic snow right here homey. haha.

Robert Schunk 02.09.2013 07:44 AM

Oh, heck!

I'm very well prepped, so my theme song for this storm just has to be Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! by Dean Martin.

(Man, would I love to hear Sonic YOuth's take on THAT song! )

I can almost hear what it would sound like.

Went to the Mardi Gras with my family last night. The temp was in the low 60's and we were freezing our azz's off. Everyone along the parade route was talking about how miserable it must be to be snowed in......sure hope you're staying warm!
