SY late night performances on youtube/etc.

Are there any late night TV performances of theirs that aren't on youtube, offhand? All the Lettermans, Conan '96, Jon Stewart, etc?

I realize this is more of a question for youtube, but I thought someone here might know. :D

Thank you guys. I guess "What concert videos from 1983-2003 aren't on youtube?" is probably a much harder question to entertain...

(Also, was this forum created in March 2006 or did we all happen to register then? This is probably an Occam's Razor thing...)

screw youtube, why should we let them in on the secret good stuff ;)

Oh yeah, I been here since June 2004, we switched to the new forum in March 2006. I was just trying to find for someone had posted an archived link to much of the old forum, but alas, it was buried somewhere in the past 6 years worth of posting. Really, Sonic Youth is the shit as a band for keeping this thing up, its like a socio-cultural experiment, preserving a live-stream, free-associative, reflective journal of the Sonic Youth experience of thousands of their fans. I mean serious, aside from like the Dead, what other band has been so interactive with their community of fans? This forum has linked us together for a decade, pure genius! Thanks again Sonic Youth, for keeping it real yo

I'm tyring to think of when the old forum started... Chris, I remember talking to you about Mulholland Drive back when it came out on DVD and sending you an MP3 of "Audience" from the Anthogy of Noise... so like 2002ish? But yeah I had kind of forgotten that the "new" forum switched over as recent as 2006.

for some of us, this forum was a step from the usenets, which became harder to use. Are the usenets still out there?

noisereductions 09.20.2012 01:26 PM

tesla, I VAGUELY remember the SY usenet days. I wanna say that stopped around what? Like 2000? I feeel like we got the current SY site and forum right around or right after NYCG&F right?

oh man, you guys remember the Paintbrush FTP site back then???
