Thurston's guitar.
 

i know there is a list of sy guitars somewhere, which have been stolen. i'm not musician, so i do not really know brands of guitars when i see some. i was just watching easter gig and saw that guitar Thurston used to play on around wm era. how do you call them guitars. jazzmaster, is it? here's a picture....



but do you remember thurston guitar? it was same brand, but kind of white color with dr. pepper sticker on it. was that guitar stolen as well?

wasnt stolen i dont think, fender is the brand and jazzmaster is the model.

it was stolen, it was the cream colored jazzmaster w/ the red tortoise shell pickguard... almost all of thurston's guitars that he uses live now are different than the ones he used back in the mid to late 90's.

oh, well he has another red one then...

pitty he can't make a music on that one now....well he has others, but this one, hmmm.

those fender amps are a real shame.

Fender amps aren't exactly irreplaceable.

yea i know. I own a few. some rare and some common. but even if you loose the common ones you still miss it. and no amp is the same after you have it for a while.

It's not like they didn't mass produce them.

and loosing a black face concert that lee customized is not replaceable. you dont find those in every vintage guitar store.

Didn't Kurt Cobain invent the Jazzmaster? Or was that the Jagstang.

wow, i wasnt aware he used it since 1991 allready. hmm, nobody find it yet, no? such a pitty it was stolen (well, but we wouldn't have NYC+ghost then...).

if we are talking about stolen gear, what about first gig or two after thieft. sy played with borrowed instruments. any word how it sounded like? maybe somebody recorded it (haven't seen anything on dime tho)?

I have set about fucking up my red jazz. I will award it to Thurston when it is destroyed enough.
