multilingual?
It's surprising when you see other posters who are multilingual. You might not have known by how well some speak'a da English. Who's multilingual and what other languages.
|
My spanish is moderately fluent and my french is terrible.
I'm an American, though. Super american. |
from best to worst:
flemish (first language) english french (basic) german (reading and listening, i can speak in words but no real sentences) spanish (reading) latin and many languages that originate from the ones i know, i can read and understand some italian or a menu in swedish or so. |
Flemish or (Belgian) Dutch is my first language. (it's complicated)
English, fluent at times. French, rusty Spanish, basic knowledge, I can get by. German, like Jean-Marie Pfaff. Ebonics, "wassup bro, diggin ya fresh mix. mad props" |
I can speak english and redneck. 100% american baby!
|
I speak/write Portuguese
I can read and understand Spanish and Italian |
all them languages other than american are communist!
I'm rather fluent at finnish and moderate at english. I had to study compulsory swedish in middle- and high school but I learnt fuck all. What a waste of time that was. |
Swedish was my first language and I am still fluent. But English is my primary language.

i grew up speaking spanish and learn french in school. then i took english classes separately and ended up living in 'merica.
i can also more or less read portuguese as i took a course once, and i "get" italian because it's close to spanish (it's all dialects of latin after all). i would like to learn "reading" german, though i understand it's tough as shit; and i'd like to speak japanese--maybe some day. |
I can still read Spanish but speak it is another thing all together too bad to cause in High School I was fluent.
